Sofia Goscinski began her artistic journey with an early interest in photography at the age of thirteen. During her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna she developed an interest in minimal and conceptual art, extending her media range to digital art and video.
In 2005, Goscinski transitioned to sculptural work, which remains her primary focus. Utilizing a wide range of materials she blends figurative and abstract elements in her work. While initially conceptual, her current practice is characterized by an iterative process, constantly evolving as she explores new ideas.
