Artist Statement
In my work, there’s no place where the mind isn’t allowed to go. My approach is undogmatic as well as non-didactic, which I understand as a political act. I prefer to bypass trends and focus on existential questions. It’s a boundary-free approach that leads me to continuously rethink ideas and experiment with new forms. Drawing from expressionism, minimalism, and conceptual art, I strive to break new ground, experimenting with new materials even if that means embracing vulnerability. Entering unfamiliar territory and risking exposure to failure, disappointment, and rejection is a key element in my productivity.
